Sweeping, layered tendrils in shiny and matte silver tone Trifanium are embellished with accent rhinestones and faux pearls in Trifari's 1950s-1960s vintage brooch, complete with original hangtag. Most likely from Trifari's "Under the Sea" series, it incorporates undulating leafy spears adorned with the flowers of the sea and twinkling chaton brilliants.
The brooch measures a generous approximate 2 1/8 inches x 1 3/4 inches at it's widest point with a 5/8 inch profile or height. Largest imitation pearls are about 5 millimeters; accent chaton rhinestones, 2 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 24 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All simulated pearls retain nacre and luster. Rhinestones intact and brilliant, with very slight age dim. Trifanium shiny and Florentine finishes intact, front and back. No dents or improper bends to metal. Pin mechanism secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of brooch is signed within a rectangular cartouche: "TRIFARI" copyright symbol following. Brooch also retains it's original black and silver hang tag with "Jewels by TRIFARI" on one side; and the crowned "T" and "MADE IN U.S.A." on the other. Circa 1950s-1960s.
