Beautiful stones and Austria go hand in hand. The spectacular brooch presented, features myriad stone types and cuts, all expertly coordinated. Chaton (some with dentelle faceting) oval, pear, and marquise rhinestones in various shades of purple and aurora borealis share the canvas with opalescent bi-color round and marquise art glass cabochons. Lustrous gray faux pearls complete the picture. Metal is brass tone with select settings in signature Austrian pie crust / claw work. A wonderful example of premium vintage Austrian rhinestone and art glass jewelry, circa 1950s-1960s.
The brooch measures between 2 1/4 inches - 2 3/8 inches across with a maximum 1/2 inch profile or height. Largest ovals are approximately 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters; largest chaton, 15 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 34 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All stones retain colors and brilliance.
