Super spectacular floral bouquet spray brooch includes six long stemmed japanned wires sprouting clear navette art glass leaves (tipped with clear chaton rhinestones) culminating in lustrous jet black margarita art glass blooms. Navettes are unfoiled and open backed while margaritas are cup set closed back. Light and airy, the brooch reflects a fresh play on the black and white theme. Plenty of sparkle and shine subdued with a the black magic of japanned finish. Extraordinarily designed and constructed. Circa 1960s.
The brooch measures an impressive 3 7/8 inches x 1 3/4 inches at it's widest point with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Navette glass stones are approximately 15 millimeters x 4 millimeters; margaritas, 8 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is about 14 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All navette, chaton and margarita rhinestones free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks, retaining sparkle and luster. All wires securely and expertly soldered, retaining shape. No dents or improper bends to metal. All japanned finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The brooch is not signed. It displays all the characteristics of high end designer work. Circa 1960s.
