Wonderful huge rose cut specialty art glass (unfoiled and open backed) in rich amethyst color is surrounded by clear chaton rhinestones and a lower level of purple round brilliants. The circular, domed brooch is in antiqued brass tone finish. Clear rhinestones are set within open work panels while purple rhinestone chain is entrenched within encircling channel. 1950s vintage Victorian revival brooch features cut and colors popular during the fin de siècle.
The brooch measures approximately 2 inches across with a 3/4 inch maximum profile or height. Rose cut art glass is about 26 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 26 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Rose cut faux amethyst is free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Nice color and rose cut effect.
