Smoky quartz color or the so called black diamond look was extremely popular during the 1950s with costume jewelry makers. Eisenberg, along with Weiss pioneered the look, heavily promoting it in print ads of the day. The circular brooch presented, circa 1950s, features the famous Eisenberg rhinestone ribbon or icing overlays and extra faceted dentelle chatons, as well as standard pear shaped and chaton rhinestones. All stones are in the smoky quartz color with settings plated in luxurious platinum toned rhodium.
