Trifari's faux pearl jewelry of the '50s and '60s ushered in a new look that featured Trifanium plating, simulated pearls, and often rhinestone accents in prominent classic themes of foliage, berries and blossoms. Refined and sophisticated, Trifari's designs included extra touches that set them apart -- integrated articulated links, multi sized pearls, rhinestone accents and combined shiny and finely textured matte finishes. One look would let you know it was a Trifari.
The necklace presented exemplifies the oft used botanical theme. Silver tone Trifanium links include double pierced leaves and branches / sprigs clustered with imitation pearls and rhinestone accents. Decorative links encircle the neck, providing uninterrupted coverage. A pearl charmed extension chain offers adjustable length.
The necklace is adjustable to about 15 inches with hook closure. Width is approximately 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Largest faux pearls are about 4 millimeters; rhinestone chaton accents, 2 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is approximately 54 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components intact. All faux pearls correct. Nacre and luster intact with no off or damaged pearls. All rhinestones intact and sparkly. All silver tone finish intact, front and back. All links properly and securely aligned. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
Original hook is signed: "TRIFARI" and copyright symbol. The necklace also includes it's original crowned "T" hangtag. Circa 1960s.
