Once or in this case twice in a blue moon. Wonderful '50s-'60s vintage large, crescent shaped climber earrings are chock full of ice blue chaton rhinestones, aurora borealis chaton rhinestones and simulated moonstone round and marquise cabochons. Beautiful blue rhinestones play off each other as luminescent moonstone "clouds" flash iridescent golds. Complementing climber style clip earrings follow the ear up -- a pair of lustrous, sparkling crescent blue moons for twice the fun.
The earrings measure a generous approximate 1 1/2 inches x 1 inch with a 1/2 inch profile or height. Marquise cabs are about 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters; largest ab chatons, 9 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 18 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining color and brilliance. Imitation moonstones retain glow and luminescence. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. All silver tone finish intact, fronts and backs. No dents or improper bends to metal. Clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The earrings are not signed. Design, materials, construction and overall presentation date them circa 1950s-1960s.
