Bold golden slashes flank pairs of diagonally set simulated pearls and clear chaton rhinestones in this '40s-50s vintage link bracelet from Trifari. Created during Trifari's "Pat. Pend." period before the company copyrighted it's designs, the bracelet encompasses what would become a signature look for Trifari -- imitation pearls with or without rhinestone accents set into gold tone or silver tone metals -- some in the firm's exclusive Trifanium finish. The fleur de mer look would continue to flourish into the 1960s.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches with fold over clasp x 5/8 inch with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Pearls are 7 millimeters and 7.5 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is about 38 grams.
Condition is very good to excellent vintage. All components intact. All faux pearls retain nacre and luster. Correct sizes and colors. No off or damaged pearls. Rhinestones intact and sparkly. Gold tone finish intact with expected age commensurate patina. Some wear to finish on reverse of bracelet. All links securely aligned. Fold over clasp strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Great presentation. Very good - excellent vintage.
The bracelet is signed on it's original clasp: "TRIFARI" and "PAT. PEND.". Circa 1940s-1954.
