The heraldic fleur de lis, (stylized lily) has been emblazoned on many European coat of arms, especially French. The design appears on items ranging from book bindings to jewelry -- the later presented here.
Circa1950s-1960s, the silver tone set includes the brooch, outlined in aquamarine chaton rhinestones with wonderful emerald green and Bermuda blue navette rhinestones, rake set on vertical arms. Horizontal spears feature a raised center row of Bermuda blue chaton rhinestones. A row of emerald green chaton rhinestones arcs at crux. Matching clip earrings complete the demi, mimicking the design of the brooch's bottom vertical petal, adding an emerald green chaton rhinestone at crux.
The layered brooch measures a generous approximate 3 inches x 2 3/16 inches at it's widest point. Earrings are about 1 3/8 inches x 5/8 inch. Navettes in both pieces are approximately 15 millimeters x 4 millimeters. Weight of the set is about 32 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining color and sparkle. (Please consider that these are vintage stones and they will not appear new.) Silver tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Pin mechanism and earring clips strong and secure. No damage / no repairs. Age commensurate light wear. Clean. Excellent vintage.
The set is not signed. Circa 1950s-1960s.
