Helen Marion, head designer at Coro's high end Vendome line (1944-1979) created many of the innovative bead and crystal designs that defined jewelry of this genre by this venerable company. Vendome produced most of it's work after 1953, generously embellishing much of it with high quality beads, crystals and rhinestones of all shapes, sizes and colors. At Coro, Vendome reigned supreme.
Each of the chandelier icicle dangle earrings presented is composed six aurora borealis glass prisms and accompanying beads suspended on twisted gold tone wire. A faceted round ab bead complements at top. Each prism is faceted to optimize the color dispersion and reflection of the aurora borealis finish. (Notice the pink, purple, turquoise and yellow.) The earrings feature the adjustable clip back mechanisms oft seen in Vendome's inventory. (Clips have a small screw at back to adjust pressure tension.) Movement, color and sparkle yield premium presentation in signature Vendome style and quality.
The earrings measure approximately 2 3/8 inches long x 1 1/4 inches at widest point. Crystal dangle prisms are about 17 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 24 grams.
