D. Ornstein & Sons Corp. of New York, in business from circa 1920s-1950s is well known in vintage jewelry circles as the makers of fine sterling silver and gold filled jewelry, set with premium glass rhinestones.
We believe the row, line or sometimes called tennis bracelet presented is from their Jubilee Collection (circa 1947) in celebration of 25 years in business. Beautifully crafted in fully articulated, high profile sterling silver box settings, square or princess cut clear rhinestones are channel / bezel set for a clean, crisp look. Fully integrated push in box clasp ensures continuous, uninterrupted sparkle. The pride is evident in the product -- Dorsons executed fashion jewelry as meticulously as fine.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches long x 3/16 inch wide with a generous 3/16 inch profile or height. Princess cut rhinestones are about 4 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is approximately 22 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Rhinestones free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks, all secure within settings. No dark, cloudy or dead stones. All sterling silver settings free from improper bends, dents, or crush. Bracelet retains proper alignment and articulation for superb fit and feel. Clasp strong and secure with tight, snap shut closure. Sterling silver retains, lustrous, creamy finish that reminds us of luxurious rhodium plate. No tarnish or stains. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Minimal age commensurate wear. Excellent vintage.
