We've got the big time blues with this gorgeous 1950-'60s vintage domed rhinestone and faux pearl studded brooch. Three large oval cabochon baroque faux pearls in steel blue are dog tooth prong set along brooch slopes. Rhinestones in myriad cuts, including chaton, pear, emerald and marquise add spectacular attention and accent. Colors are in Bermuda blue with selected rhinestones in aurora borealis blue. Metal is finished in pewter tone or as some call it, gunmetal.
The brooch measures a very generous approximate 2 1/4 inches across. Profile or dome maxes at about 5/8 inch. Blue imitation pearl cabs are approximately 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters, largest chatons, about 11 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 38 grams.
Condition of the brooch is excellent vintage. All stones intact. All baroque style faux pearl cabs retain nacre, luster and captivating color. All rhinestones intact and brilliant. There may be an edge AB stone or two with slight finish wear. I have included an extra close up photo to magnify any age related imperfections. All gunmetal finish intact, front and back. Pin back strong and secure. Beautiful blue colors, creamy cabs, and radiant rhinestones reign supreme. Dramatic and dreamy. Bring on the blues.
