This is a very unusual find, and it is with the greatest pleasure and excitement I offer this to you here, the Antique Sterling Silver & Enamel Smoking Companion in a excellent condition. It comprised three cups in various sizes and shapes, one has a raised rectangular clip on its back to hold a match box. All attached to a large stand with a handle and six clad feet. It wholly made of solid sterling silver, including the stand, and gorgeously embellished with ornate chiseled decoration with pearl edges and dark blue enamel finish. The large monogram "PB X" with a crown on top, proudly presented on the cups and on the clip.
This is a very rare smoking/tobacco accessary set. Ultimate in luxury and difficult to find today. I believe this magnificent piece is from Imperial Russian Period, though there is no hallmark to prove it.
It hallmarked French Swan marks on almost every parts. The mark is used since 1893 to mark solid silver items of unknown origin sold in French public auction, therefore we cannot be certain for the origin of this piece. Possibly a prototype or a very private order.
