Offered for your consideration is this elegant Antique French Sterling Silver Napkin Ring from early 19th Century in an antique presentation box. This beautiful napkin ring is wholly made of finest quality French sterling silver 950/1000, finely decorated with raised foliage contours. It remains free from any form of personalisation. Hallmarked 1. French Michael-Ange (Vieillard) No.1 mark, used in Paris between 1819-1838, guaranteed 950/1000 purity sterling silver. 2. Guarantee mark of City of Paris, 1819-1838. 3. Silversmith's maker mark of Antoine Moranges, inscription on 1794 in Paris. The presentation box is NOT original to the napkin ring, but it protects the item, so I made them marriage.
