This beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver Dessert Serving Set is simply a gorgeous find to be treasured for many years to come. The set comprising 3 serving flatware, a sugar sifter, strawberry/fruit serving spoon and a knife, nicely housing in its original presentation box. All the pieces are made of finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity and having elegant parcel gilt finish (partly gold-washed over sterling.) The design is opulent Gothic style with guilloche engraving, with beautiful patina acquire through decades. It remains free from any form of personalization, no initial or monogram. Circa 1880.
As hallmark we have French Minerva No.1 mark on each piece, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the best quality sterling silver in the world, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. The maker's mark is that of "Jean Granvigne", 30 rue des Gravilliers, worked in Paris since 1868, a skillful silversmith often supplied their production to the Maison Odiot by order, amongst other famous silversmiths like Emile Puiforcat.

Excellent Condition as age. Trace of light use, some light age-related scratches to the surface to note. Otherwise in quite excellent shape. The box is in Good Used Condition, there are some minor wears on surface but open/close system works as it should. Please refer the detail photos I added.
