This beautiful early 19th Century Antique French Silver Sewing Thimble is presented here for your consideration. This fabulous solid silver thimble is finely decorated with elegant chased foliage or palmetto pattern band on the lower part. It is in quite excellent condition with no holes. As hallmark we have French Rabbit's Head mark, which guaranteed at least .800 purity of silver, used in Paris between 1819-1838. There is a trace of maker's mark, but it's hard to read.
Measurements 1" (2.5cm) long x 3/4" (1.9cm) diameter, weight 0.22 oz (6.2g) American size 11.
Excellent Condition. Trace of light use, some light age-related scratches and a very tiny dent at the base. Otherwise in quite excellent shape. Please refer the detail photos I added.
