This is a truly adorable and rare Antique French Silver Almandine Garnet Brooch from late 19C. Finely crafted in solid silver, this fabulous brooch has unusual design of naturalistic flower and leaves, featuring hand cut almandine garnet stones and tiny clear stones (quarts or white garnets?) on the leaves. As hallmark there is French silver importation control Ant mark, used in Paris since 1864 till 1893, guarantees .800 quality solid silver. Very Good condition. Circa 1890.
Measurements 1" (2.7cm) large x 1" (2.7cm) wide, weight 0.18 oz (5g)
Very Good Condition as age. There are few very tiny chips on central almandine garnet stone, and the back pin is not perfectly straight, but otherwise less than usual light scratches from long years of light use. Please refer the detail photos I added.
