For your consideration, a fine circa 1972 studio art glass vase by Dion Myers. This superb example of 20th century California studio art glass measures 6” tall and 3 ½” in diameter. The work is noteworthy for its tri-formed petal mouth, richly colored silver oxide swirls and banding, and subtlety gradated lavender color. The piece is most probably mold blown, with hand pinched details. The vase is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or bites. Signed “Dion Myers” “’72”. Dion Myers is a noted ceramicist who produced a limited number of works in glass. She was an artist of the American Art Glass Movement that included Harvey Littleton, Dale Chihuly, William Morris, Richard Marquis, Italo Scanga . She was a California ceramic and glass artist at the beginning of Southern California's Glass Movement.
