For your consideration, a rare original circa 1960’s photograph of the Hiller
X-18 experimental plane showing three tilting wing positions multi exposed on one sheet of photographic paper . This original chromogenic “C” print was most probably photographed with a large format camera (4x5, or 8x10 negative size) and is rich in tonality, color saturation, fine grain, and image sharpness. The print measures 19 3/8” x 15 ½” and is dry mounted to a 23” x 19” museum board. The print is in very good vintage condition with no loss of emulsion, stains, and just one area of pressed markings to the emulsion (no loss of emulsion, or scratching). The Hiller X-18 was an experimental cargo transport aircraft designed to be the first test bed for tilt-wing and VSTOL(vertical/short takeoff and landing) technology. Design work started in 1955 by Stanley Hiller Jr, and Hiller Aircraft Corp. received a manufacturing contract and funding from the U.S. Air force to build the only X-18 ever produced, serial #57-3078.

Note: I have another set of images of this plane being offered at this time on Cypress Studio.
