For your consideration, an original mezzotint engraving by the 19th century French artist Eugene Paul (b.1830). The mezzotint is in excellent vintage condition with minor aging and measures 24cm x 29cm, framed 26cm x 20.5cm. The work is signed in pencil and notated “Rue de la Baru” . This engraving was included in a book by Antoine Bourdat, “Around our Mills, Walks Through the Old Montmartre XX”, circa 1922. The engraving is most probably circa 1870-1900. Eugene Paul was a noted 19th century engraver who was active in France and the United States in the 19th and early 20th century.
