For your consideration, a fine glazed ceramic studio vase by the noted Northern California potter, Leslie Campbell. Campbell has a background in British ceramics and produces both salt fired and traditional kiln fired work from her studio in Mendocino, CA, an area renowned for its community of potters, painters, and wood workers. This fine work, most probably from the 1980’s or 90’s, measures 9 5/8” tall and 3 ½” in diameter. It is in excellent condition, save for one bite at the mouth (see photos). The vase is noteworthy for its organic modernist shape and rich polychrome blue and white flambé mannered glaze. This highly refined work will be a fine addition to your collection of 20th century American studio art.
