For your consideration, a fine original black and white chloro-bromide silver gelatin print by the noted Hollywood photographer Jose Reyes. Jose Reyes was a noted Hollywood portrait photographer who maintained a studio in Hollywood in the 1930's and 1940's and was a contemporary of George Hurrell, William Mortensen, and others. The photograph's subjects have not been identified, but are most probably individuals in the creative arts, possibly the film industry. The woman bears striking resemblance to the artist and model Lee Miller; however, correspondence with the Miller Archive has determined that it is not Miller. The photograph measures 24cm x 18.5cm and it is in its original 24.5 x 20.5 cm period frame (with Miller Art Shoppe label attached to frame verso). The work, signed "Jose Reyes", is most probably 1935-1945, and is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The work shows wonderfully in all environments and with any décor.
