For your consideration, a signed mid-century work by the noted Turkish artist Güngör Iblikçi (b. 1936). This magnificent early work measures 14 7/8" x 10 ½" (matted window size) within its original 23 ½" x 17 ¾" period wood frame. The abstract work's displays the strong modernist graphic style that Iblikci's work is noted for, with many geometric shapes and color fields integrated into a free-flowing and organic composition. The colors are in saturated shades of chocolate and sand browns, turquoise blues and merging overlays of brown-blues. The print is in excellent condition with no foxing, stains, or repairs, and the colors are vibrant. The work is signed "g.iblikci 68" " 6/20". The print was acquired at auction in the 1980's and the original Butterfield's action numbers are on the label on the prints back (Butterfield number "H1-B918 (2) D"). This wonderful work commands a wall, and looks fabulous in mid-century settings, from SoHo to Palm Springs.
