For your consideration, a large salt fired studio ceramic vase measuring 13" x 6" x 3" and signed "Richardson". This fine work was acquired in the Northern California town of Ferndale, and area known for its arts and crafts; notable artists from that area include Morris Graves, Hobart Brown, and others. The vase is noteworthy for its glaze and modernist aesthetics. It is most probably circa 1970's-1980's and is in good vintage condition, with just one small area of missing glaze located at its mouth (see photos). An exceptional example of late 20th century American studio ceramics.
