This masterfully designed and hand made heat-formed Lucite pitcher was created in the 1960's-1970's at Studio Plastique, a Massachusetts based design and plastic fabrication atelier, which produced high-end custom plastic products. This fine mid-century piece is noteworthy in its use of custom formed components; its artfully designed and fabricated brushed aluminum handle is joined to the pitcher's body by conical plastic supports, which are artfully attached integrated into the handles design. The color of the pitcher's main form graduates from a modernist yellow-green to a darker shade of green at the top of pitcher, and the base is a composed of a thick disk of clear plastic. The pitcher is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, and just normal vintage wear. Measures 8 3/8" tall, 3 ½" in diameter, and 5" wide from handle to spout ( the aluminum handle is 6 7/8" in length). A magnificent example of 20th century industrial design.
