This bowl was created as a promotional piece by the Italian glass firm of Vetreria Vecchiarelli, a glass company located in Nuviano, a city near Naples. The hand blown pressed bowl measures 7" in diameter and is ¾" deep. The label is glass, and is fused to the bowl. The piece is noteworthy for its sommerso glass interior, which features interesting inclusions and bubbles of blue and subtle lime green within a matrix of translucent clear, light green and blue color fields. Mid-century Italian glass promotional and advertising pieces are rare, and this example is in mint condition with no damage. A great addition to your collection of 20th century Italian glass.
