In my effort to offer the "fabulous and unusual" to the world's most discriminating clientele, I proudly offer a unique circa 1970's-80's redwood burl toilet paper holder. This piece was culled from a circa 1960's-1970's handmade house in Mendocino California and created by a local artisan in tree limb and 1000-2500 year old redwood burl; the piece is noteworthy for it's artful asymmetry and deep red figured wood grain. The holder measures approximately 11 1/2" x 6" x 6", and mounts with two screw on wall or side-cabinet. Mendocino is an artist community on the Northern California coast, and was ground zero in the "back to the land" movement of the 1950's-1970's. This piece is a noteworthy example of vintage "functional art" and is unbelievably beautiful and spirited!
