For your consideration, a unique two-dimensional textured ceramic bowl/wall hanging by the noted San Francisco Bay Area artist Phyllis Pacin. This fine work is created in the slab method that is the signature style of Pacin's two and three-dimensional ceramic work. Measuring 10 ¼" x 6 ¾" x 2 ¼" and in subtle shades of glazed off-whites and light grays, the work features pressed and incised lettering and textures, most probably acquired from San Francisco cast manhole cover. The work, which can be displayed wall-mounted or used as a bowl, is stamped with the artist's maker's mark, and is most probably from the 1980's.
Pacin's artwork hangs in museums and in public, private, and corporate collections worldwide.
