If you are a fan of Couroc of Monterey than you know this is one of the rare ones; the familiar road runner and cheese mouse has been replaced by two husky steel girder men working in mid-air and ... with one of these two he-men gingerly removing, with a hanky, a troublesome dust speck that has lodged in the (tearful) eye of his co-worker. Talk about a scene that is both touching and, from a design standpoint, artfully well drafted. Most probably circa 1960's-70's this large 18" x 12 ½" tray is in excellent vintage condition with just the most minor of wear and was probably a promotional piece for the company or brand "Ostrom-Bergen". Personally, I think this spirited 20th century example of functional art is exceptionally cool, and will look stylish in your mid-century environment. One of the most interesting and off-beat of any Couroc piece we have offered.
