For your consideration, a seminal 1970's wire sculpture by Hobart Ray Brown, (American, 1934 –2007). In the 1970's Brown was experimenting with architectural forms in the shape of modified pyramids. This work, one of his "livable sculptures" from that early period, measures 18" x 19" x 18". This piece has remained in that family's possession, and was displayed prominently in the Hobart Brown kinetic sculpture museum and gallery in Eureka, CA. This very early and seminal piece displays both precision and and a bohemian vitality. Hobart Brown was an American sculptor and thecreator of "Kinetic sculpture racing", which was originally composed of hand-made individualized and modified bicycles (later to include other human-propelled vehicles). This piece represents a major work by an American bohemian icon.
