Measuring 7 ½" tall and a massive 8" in diameter this fine example of mid-century Californian studio pottery is in excellent condition with just the usual kiln-produced chipping to the glaze at the base . The gleaming glaze of this striking piece is yellow-green and the sides of the vase feature graphic incised detailing. This massive piece is marked " R-34, Lg" "C" and "Made in Calif" . It looks very Bauer to me, but I can't be sure of its maker. The piece is most probably from the 1950's or early 1960's.
