For your consideration, a supremely 1980’s aesthetic brushed gold toned bear claw necklace by Anne Klein. This impeccably late 20th century design runway piece, in mint condition with no signs of wear, measures approximately 18”, and is composed of forty-one 1”segments. The necklace is identified with the Anne Klein lion logo on the necklace’s toggle closure. The necklace was created during Donna Karan’s stewardship of Anne Klein and her design aesthetics are clearly evident in this example of “wearable art”. The piece is possibly a Robert Lee Morris design: Morris was a noted NYC jewelry designer who occasionally collaborated with Karan in the creation of fashion accessories. A very fine example of 20th century American jewelry design.
