For your consideration, a modernist drip glaze ceramic vase by the noted ceramicist T. J. “Tom” Krueger. The free form vase measures 6” tall and 4” wide and features stylized polychrome drip glaze in shades of green, beige, cinnamon, and coffee; all flowing in such a way as to give the work a feeling of movement and vitality. The vase’s asymmetrical mouth and oval base are indicative of integration of Japanese aesthetics in Krueger’s work. The vase, most probably circa 1980’s, is in mint condition with no signs of wear or damage and is signed on its base. A great addition to any collection of 20th century American studio pottery.
