For your consideration, a fine turned redwood bottle measuring 10 ½” tall and 3 3/8” in diameter. This impeccably turned wood piece features detailed rendering the cap area and accurate and highly aesthetic bottle silhouette. It is created out of rare (and expensive!) old growth California coastal redwood, a wood that can be up to 2,500 years old. This work was acquired in Mendocino County, and is clearly the work of a skilled wood turner. The unsigned bottle is in excellent vintage condition, and display one mentionable ding, which can be easily sanded off, if so desired (see photos). A wonderful sculpture, great in any environment and in any collection of 20th century turned wood.
