This intriguing studio glass piece is most probably from the 1970’s and was found in Northern California. It is hollow, and might have been intended to be illuminated from the inside, or possibly created for use as a finial. It features interesting red glass “veins” which artfully overlay its dark mauve glass body. It is unsigned and measures 4 ¼” x 3 ½” x 2 ¾” and weighs ¾ lb. . A uniquely aesthetic example of 20th century American studio art glass.
