This exceptional Murano glass sculpture measures 4” diameter and weighs approx 3 ¾ lbs. This is probably the finest controlled bubble paperweight I have ever seen in my collecting; the three large asymmetrical bubbles are noteworthy in their design and placement within a matrix of crystal clear glass. The piece looks profoundly aesthetic from every angle and in any light (see photos for details). Although unsigned, the piece is possibly by Livio Seguso; all qualities of this fine work are identical to other signed pieces by this well-know artist. It is not unusual for retail stores, such as I. Magnin, Gumps, and other high-end retail stores to commission work by established studios and affix their label to the work. The original 1970’ vintage I. Magin (San Francisco) label is affixed to the piece. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, dings, or scratches (the base shows normal wear). This sculpture is a worthy addition to your fine collection of mid-century Murano glass.
