For your consideration, an oil on board painting by Edith Ward Hunt (1868-1957). This late career work, circa 1940’s – 1950’s, displays a modernist aesthetic and was created in the final decade of Hunt’s life. The painting is in excellent vintage condition and measures approximately 6” x 6” in its 7” x 7” custom wood frame. The work is signed “Edith Hunt”; the signature has been identified as being that of Edith Ward Hunt. A charming and highly aesthetic work, and one that shows well with all styles of décor.

Edith Ward Hunt was born in Iowa on November 12, 1868. A painter, she specialized in impressionist landscapes and still life works. From 1914-1926 she resided in Yakima, Washington.
