For your consideration, an exceptionally colorful circa 1950’s-1970’s hammered copper and jasper cabochon belt buckle. The work features a charmingly asymmetrical stamped geometric pattern, which rings a large central cab of highly graphic jasper displaying highly saturated hues of red, sky blue, gray, off-white, and shades of brown and ochre. The buckle is in good vintage condition and measures 3” x 2 3/8”. Acquired in the Northern California art colony of Mendocino and most probably created locally during that locales “back to the land” era. Full of life and vitality, and the real deal.
