Girl and Boy Black Children from Heubach Koppelsdorf of Germany, circa 1905. These two small painted bisque children are just right together like big sister and little brother. Girl doll with hair 9 1/2" dressed in only her African style original grass skirt and earrings. She is marked - "Heubach Koppelsdorf, 444, 14/0, Germany". She has working sleep eyes which currently are being obstructed by the newer neck ball attachment. Her painting is very good with just some minor loss under the wig - not seen unless wig is lifted. She still has shiny polish on fingernails and toenails. Her little brother is 9" and has sleep eyes which open and close well. He also wears his original grass skirt, ankle bracelets and wrist bracelets. He has some minor paint loss - loss below neckline in front (only seen when head tilted back) and tiny spots-one back of head, another tinier spot in crotch and two mini spots on left foot. If you like these little ethnic dolls as I do, I know you will appreciate having a set of boy and girl. Please check all photos and enlarge them if able. Ask any questions. Thank you.
