This little Baby Jean from Kestner at just 13" is so delightful. I own many of this mold but she is the prettiest by far. Bisque head is perfect and she is wearing her original Kestner outfit circa 1910. Head had been fully inspected with varied light sources and jewelers loop. Bisque is free of hairlines, damage or repairs. The painting and detail for such a little one is super quality - see the fine detail of her hair and features, her deep dimples. Even the back of her head has no evidence of rubs. Eyes of deep brown with all original eye wax and original setting. The Kestner dressing is simple and cute with a pink flannel robe with hand embroidery, white cotton trousers, knit booties with original silk ties. Marks on head - "JDK, Made in Germany, 8". The body is still very good - with some minor age wear on hands as seen in photos and a tiny elbow crack on the left has been filled in years past.
This doll is a fine example or the Kestner mold and illustrates why this mold is so well loved by collectors.
