This stunning Victorian bracelet has been meticulously handcrafted from Persian turquoise and 18K gold. Highly embellished with a chain link border and rows upon rows of turquoise placed next to each other in 8 oval medallions. The Persian turquoise is surprisingly bright blue after all this time, only a handful of slightly greenish stones. It can definitely be worn on special occasions, and might just turn your friends turquoise with envy.
There is some older repair work done to some of the links and settings, some of the bezel looks like it has been lost from wear. There are two stones missing. Some of the antique pitch is visible as the dark lines around the turquoise. The matching brooch, which looks like it could have been an earring at one point, has no missing stones but an obviously updated rose gold pin back. It might be possible to use some of the brooch stones as replacements for the bracelet
Clearly stamped multiple times with the French Owl on the clasp, this procedure was done when a finished piece was brought into the French Assay Office. The age of the piece might be older than 1893, as it possible it was a passed down heirloom or an older piece purchased secondhand. The Owl mark was introduced in 1893. No other country's hallmarks are present.
Tested for 18K gold, which is the French standard for karat.
