A nicely shaped vase using Barovier's 1951 "Barbarico" technique where the blue colouring is done without melting. This leaves a
slightly, rough to the touch, matte finish. The unique thing about this particular Barbarico vase is the refined finish around the lip. It adds a heightened level of sophistication to the design and is technically quite impressive. The vase is in excellent condition, although there is a small hole (pictured) in the middle of the bottom of the vase. This appears to be done in the manufacturing process.
