Ermanno Nason designed this vase for Vetreria Gino Cenedese circa 1964. The vase has Nason's trademark primitive glass applications in a jagged pattern circling the simple vase form. He made many sought after Scavo glass pieces in the primitive style, but rarely used opaque glass with gold leaf in that same primitive way. This unique piece is a standout for it's handcrafted, rough-but-sophisticated construction. One of Murano's very best makers. The vase is in excellent condition with no issues.
