Very rare find French gold earrings from Art Nouveau period C.1900's. The earrings present a Art Nouveau combination of colors, dark green with red dots blood stone perfectly matching with red coral and emphasized with red and white enamel, which in turn combines well with white pearls. The rubies makes the other colors even more enhanced. The earrings are just over 2 1/2" (65mm) long and made of 18K gold, and weight 5.6 grams. There are fine polished over 3/4" (20mm) long red coral teardrops at the bottom. The pearls measure 3/16" (5mm). Gorgeous central section is constructed of blood stone with natural rubies set in gold band. The ends of blood stone terminated with rosettes covered with red and white guilloche enamel. Multiple sections make a lot of movement when earrings are on the ear. The earrings are not hallmarked, 14K gold tested. The top of the earrings seems being replaced with hooks with rubies since most of the earrings of the period were screw backs. There are a few chips on enamel, and a few stones were replaced professionally with rubies of the period. Overall very good condition commensurate with age.
