Antique Chinese coral kingfisher feather basket wedding earrings of Qing dynasty (1644-1912).
These earrings are prized by collectors because of their rarity due to fragile nature of feathers of kingfisher
used as adornment of the earrings. The earrings were worn only on weddings in old times in China.
Presented dangle earrings are double-sided and are approximately 2 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and made of gold wash sterling silver.
They are adorned with bright blue kingfisher feathers.
The basket is made of woven coral seed beads.
The screw backs stamped sterling.
