Splendid French Belle Epoque rose cut and old mine and rose cut diamonds
rose gold and sterling pendant C. late 19th century.
The pendant is clearly a French work judging by the elegant design
and elaborate craftsmanship.
It is well sculptured as a branch with rose buds and leaves.
Multiple sparkling high quality open back rose cut and old mine cut diamonds
generously spilled over the whole pendant.
Typically for the period the back of the pendant is 18K rose gold
and the diamonds are set in sterling silver for better color fit to the diamonds,
especially with natural silver patina.
The pendant is equipped with articulated, hinged and rotating, bail.
The pendant is 2 1/4" high 1 7/8" wide.
It is not hallmarked, gold tested as 18K and silver as sterling.
Total weight is 10.8 grams.
