We are proud to offer for sale this very rare pietra dura bangle bracelet.
It was made in second half of 19th century.
We never encountered pietra dura plaques used in
such an ancient Roman or Etruscan style bangle bracelets.
The pietra dura plaques are depicting delicate flower bouquets
precisely carved into onyx substrate.
They are set in rose gold bezels, which in turn
are set onto the silver cylinder sides, 1/4" high.
The cylinders are 13/16" and 11/16" diameter.
The whole front of the bracelet is just under 3" long.
It is embellished with rose gold granulation and round details.
Some of them are gold and some are gold filled.
Silver parts are covered with beautiful antique patina
which adds to the bracelet's beauty.
The rest of the bracelet is made of silver tubes covered with antique patina
The push in clasp is made of 14K gold..
The clasp locks securely with nice click.
The safety chain is intact.
The bracelet is 6 3/4" inner circumference (2 1/2" x 2" opening).
There is no hallmarks, gold tested for 14K purity.
Total weight is 20.2 grams
