Presented double sided mirror locket pendant was a necessary part
of women attire at late 19th century, early 1900’s.
It was serving both as a pendant with life-like repousse
maple leaves with mistletoe hanging down,
and as mirror for quick check on makeup or headdress.
Both sides have identical repousse mistletoe and maple leaves.
The locket slides open revealing 2 mirrors inside.
The locket is 2 3/4” long including the bail, 1 5/8” wide.
It is hallmarked DEPOSE (patent or registration in France), tested800-850 silver.
Total weight is 36.8 grams.
The locket opens and locks well.
One mirror is in very good condition which is rare for this old piece,
The other’s silver amalgam is tarnished on the edges.
Overall very good antique condition commensurate with age.
