Rare Italian Grand Tour hand painted porcelain brooch C 1860.
It is a take of famous 2 angels from Raphael’s The Sistine Madonna.
The angels are masterfully painted with minute details on soft background.
This is not a decal.
The brooch measures 1 3/4” X 1 3/8”.
The brooch equipped with C clasp with long tubular hinge.
There is a maker depressed stamp VO on the unglazed back of the porcelain plaque.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
