Eye catching Egyptian revival necklace by Patrice.
There have always been a high interest to Egyptian antiquities.
Since discoveries of Ancient Egyptian treasuries in18th and 19th centuries
and after discovery of the Tutankhamun tomb in 1922 the interest sparked again
and never subsided since.
Egyptian revival jewelry is never out of style.
The necklace focal point is the huge multi tier pendant.
5 bottom tiers are made of filigree patinated brass.
One of them designed as Goddess Isis' wings.
The others demonstrate elaborate Art nouveau style patterns.
Then there is an oval shape carnelian poured glass oval donut with 4 brass ruffled bands
and large dark green jade glass at the top.
The whole pendant is approx. 4 3/8” long.
2 3/4” long, 1 7/8” wide, 1” high central dangle suspended with wide embossed bail.
Dimensional leaf or pine nut dangle is hanging underneath, it measures 1 1/8” X 1/2”.
Graceful round brass snake mesh chain with spring ring clasp complete the necklace.
It is 30” long.
Excellent vintage condition.
Brass covered with beautiful antique patina.
